Your paediatrician may not always have time to ask you about all aspects of your child's life. So, the information you provide to your paediatrician will help him/her to make better-informed treatment choices for your child.

If you feel that your child isn’t doing as well as you hope, you should discuss your concerns with your child’s paediatrician. As well as discussing your child’s academic performance with the paediatrician it is important to raise any issues you are observing that relate to your child's social and emotional wellbeing.

It is useful for the paediatrician to know if your child: has friends, behaves appropriately in social situations, causes conflict at home, has low self-esteem or has sleep problems
